With Valentine’s Day only 11 days away I thought I would share my favorite shades of red lipsticks. Even though they’re all red I thought I would share my top 5 favorite from the drugstore and the other 5 shades are high-end. I’m thinking of doing a similar post with favorite pink and nude shades. I know not everyone wears red or pink so I think doing a similar post with those types of shades would be cool to do. I decided to add drugstore and high-end into the mix because not everyone wants to spend $37 on a red lipstick. Having affordable options is a must in my book.
Drugstore:
Colourpop’s “Arriba” ($6.50) is a stunning Ultra Matte liquid lipstick that lasts almost 6+ hours.
Maybelline “Divine Wine” ($5.50) this burgundy red wine shade is a stunning and creamy shade from Maybelline. The formula is great and the wear is too. It’s a must have from the drugstore.
Revlon’s “Really Red” ($6.00)is a lipstick dupe for Mac’s “Ruby Woo”. This shade will look good for all skin tones, this blue based red is a great option for a night out.
Flower Beauty “Get to the Poinsettia” ($7.00) is only sold at Walmart stores and now online at Ulta. Flower Beauty’s lipsticks are a dream, they feel like high-end lipsticks and are very affordable.
Nyx Butter Gloss “Cherry Pie” ($4.99) this lipgloss is highly pigmented and one of my favorite lip glosses from the drugstore. This lipgloss is not tacky or thick, although it’s not long-lasting you won’t be disappointed with the shade color.
High-end: Kylie Cosmetics ” Mary Jo K” ($17.00) I always get a lot of compliments when I wear this bright liquid lipstick. The formula could be better I’m not going to lie. I have dry lips and it doesn’t help that her formula for liquid lipsticks are really drying. Her velvet formula is a dream and I wish she’s make this shade into a velvet. Regardless it still looks stunning on even with dry lips, just make sure you moisturize.
Kat Von D “Outlaw” ($20.00) Kat Von D’s liquid lip formula is one of my favorite high-end liquid lips. Her formula is very comfortable and long-lasting.
Mac “Ruby Woo” ($17.00) Ruby Woo is a classic red lip shade, the formula is very matte so you will also need to exfoliate when using this lip formula.
Urban Decay “714” ($17.00) If you like matte lipsticks but not super matte, comfortable matte this is the lipstick for you. This lipstick is very comfortable and very bright.
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet #38 ($37.00) If you want a classic red lip that just goes on your lips like a dream, Chanel #38 is for you. It’s one of my favorite lip shades of all time, the packaging is gorgeous but the formula and color are even more of a dream.

Great post! – I barley ever wear red, I’m not sure if I pull it off😂❤️
Thank you! It’s funny because a close friend of mine said the same thing but I think everyone can pull off a red lip! It’s just about finding the right tone of red for you that you like best 🙂
Oh I love the maybeline Devine Wine!
YES! the color is stunning and all the Maybelline mattes are SO good.
