(Left me, Right my cousin Gracie) last year welcoming 2015. I guess duck faces are my thing since last year I posted a picture doing the same thing.
This year was an incredible year. I learned so much about myself. Im slowly learning how to be comfortable in my own skin. I’m learning who I am and what I want. I got out of my comfort zone a lot this year and I made some new friends. I learned a lot in school about writing and photography!
My 2015 highlights: In no particular order.
Early January I hung out with my best friends Lucy and Tesla. We had dinner and a sleepover. We don’t spend as much time as we would like but every time we hang out, we catch up where we left off and have hilarious conversations. We hung out a couple of times throughout the year. These girls are the best, there’s not enough words to describe the amount of love I have for them.
Meeting my niece for the first time, and being an auntie for the first time. Emma was born in October 🙂 Isn’t she so adorable? Emma Sophia is the ray of sunshine we all needed.
I graduated with my Associate’s degree in the Summer. Finally!!! In late August I attended my first semester at Texas A&M SA where I’m working towards a Bachelor’s degree. I’m a Communications major just in case I never mentioned it before guys.
Hanging out with Stephanie and Miriam who are family. I don’t spend as much time as I would like with both of them but when I do it’s always a blast. This day we had a sleepover and stayed up until 4am laughing and crying. I love them and they’re beautiful kiddos.
Of course Stephanie and I took plenty of selfies.
Spending random nights with Dora. We’d have Taylor Swift nights where we would sing Taylor’s entire discography and also have girl talk. Sometimes we ate pizza too. (FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION, I saved you guys from listening to a video of Dora and I singing a horribly off tuned mashup of “Bas Blood” and “We Are Never Getting Back Together).
In September Dora, Lucy and I drove to Austin to see ZEDD! Our first EDM (electronic dance music) concert. It was so much fun!!!!
Here’s the three of us making our way to the entrance. I was so happy😬. It was such a cool and colorful experience.
In October, Halloween was pretty fun. Even though it was pouring rain I had fun with my family. We watched movies and ate pizza! I don’t dress up but I decided to just paint my face like the Joker from The Dark Knight.
I photographed the annual SA Zombie Walk for school. I took this picture by accident and it turned out to be one of the best photos that I took that night.
In November for my Photojournalism class I attended SA Fashion week . I took this nice picture of a model (isn’t he so pretty?) Photography is an art that I feel l haven’t mastered yet, I’m slowly learning.
In the end of November I had the chance to attend a Spurs game I quickly took this photo of Tim Duncan and Danny Green. It was so cool to see the Spurs players up so close. They looked so tiny on my TV. I almost forgot they were like 6ft.
I took this photo of Tim Duncan awkwardly putting on a sweatshirt.
At this point Tim Duncan was probably thinking “security”.
It’s s funny because last year I posted about the Spurs winning the Championship and then this year I had the opportunity to sneak in some photos of them. Crazy. (Cue in Drake’s “Started from the bottom now we here.”)
I enjoyed watching the Spurs play with my friends Erica and Josh. We were so happy eating our overpriced Whataburger!!!
Meeting some cool people at school. I spent almost every day for the last 5 months with these crazy, talented, funny kids! I had the pleasure of getting to know them.
My TV production class was so much fun! I learned a lot about video editing, production and working with a group of people. I’m so grateful to have learned so much from my professor and friends. I have to give a shout out to Josh for helping throughout the course and for giving me advice about photography among other things. Also shout out to Erica who put up with me this semester. You da real MVP. You’re hilarious and awesome, you made my semester so much enjoyable!
Being around my family. I should say it more often to them but I love them. I’m incredibly blessed to have them in my life. I thank God for them. I’m so lucky.
And of course, you guys who read this blog. It may not seem like a lot but this year we reached over 100K views. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting this tiny blog! Here’s to a New Year!
