I have tried both gel eyeliners and I want to give you guys my own opinion on both these products. Is it worth purchasing a $24 Gel Eyeliner? Is the Maybelline Gel Liner a good “dupe” for Bobbi Brown? All these questions I will be answering for you.

First Impression of Bobbi Brown :The Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black is the smoothest most incredible gel liner I have ever tried in my entire life. When I first tried on the liner I couldn’t believe how smooth it would go on my eyelid, and it was also so pigmented. I fell in love for the first time.

First impression of  Maybelline: I did a lot of research on YouTube about the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner, and it was a popular “dupe” for the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner. When I first applied it on my eyelid it did go on smooth on the eye, but the formula felt a bit thicker than the Bobbi Brown. The liner did come with a brush which was a nice touch.

I felt the formula with the Maybelline Gel Liner, and I felt as if I didn’t have any makeup on with the Bobbi Brown. The lasting power on both are amazing and very long-lasting which is a good thing for both products. The Maybelline one comes with a brush and the BB one doesn’t.  Overall I felt like both products have excellent pigmentation. The Maybelline Gel Liner is definitely a dupe for the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner.

IF I had to choose: I would pay the extra $16.00 for the Bobbi Brown liner only because I felt as if I didn’t have any liner/makeup on with this awesome liner. But if you were on a budget and didn’t want to spend $24.00 on a Gel Liner the Maybelline Gel Liner is a good dupe for only $8.00 !
