Hello friends, this year I have decided to dress up for Halloween as none other than Mrs. Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction. If you don’t know who or what I’m talking about, do yourself a favor and go watch Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. You won’t regret it!
Why are you dressing up as Mia Wallace? You may ask? Uhm, only because Pulp Fiction is one of the greatest films ever that’s why. I’ve read somewhere that people think there’s no meaning to this film, and I think those people are wrong.
I think this movie has a lot of depth to it if you really look and listen. I think it’s way more than just the good and the bad, it’s more of the choices you make and the consequences of those actions. I think the point is that at any given time, any man could be the shepherd, the weak or the tyranny of evil men. At different points in the movie, all characters trade roles.
Even though Mrs. Mia Wallace is in the film for 10 minutes, I think she’s iconic with her wonderful one liners and also her look.
I purchased a black blunt wig from Party City $20 + wig cap. Mia wears a white collared shirt with some black trousers which you probably already own at home. The look is topped off with some gold flats.
For the makeup (before her accidental overdose)
I applied my regular foundation and used this contour trio I purchased at the drugstore. You can use any bronzer and white powder for the eyes.
Once done with the eyes you can slightly fill in your brows. In the movie her brows are not completely filled in. Also I recommend to apply only one coat of mascara, her lashes look very natural in the film.
Next is the fun part…the lips. I did a lot of research to try to find the actual lipstick color used in the film(couldn’t find it). I used the Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace lipstick from Urban Decay’s Pulp Fiction makeup line that came out over a year ago (limited edition).
Final makeup look
I will post more pictured with an outfit later on this week. Also more pics with the after accidental overdose where Mia Wallace’s look becomes a mess. That should be fun to re-create! (UPDATE: I had a night class on Halloween and I couldn’t dress up for Halloween)
If you’re dressing up for Halloween, leave a comment below and let me know who you’re dressing up as.
