Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation Review!

HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION.

YES.

I said it!!!!

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless foundation

Let’s start off with me saying that I’m not a huge fan of drugstore foundations. With that being said drugstore foundations irritate my skin due to sensitivity or I just simply hate the formula.

This foundation is amazing, I apologize in advance if I write amazing so many times, I just really love this product!

There’s a lot of things that I liked about this foundation, let’s start off my saying that I have HUGE pores around my nose area (totally normal) right? With this foundation I found that it minimized my pores without it looking to chunky around my nose.  What I also noticed with the product on my face was the fact that It applied and blended very smoothly on the face. I had no problem applying this on! The consistency is very thin and a little watery. After I applied it on my skin my face looked matte without it looking super matte if that makes any sense. My face looked very natural looking and smooth. This foundation is for normal to oily skin and I have a combination of both, I really think people who have both oily and dry skin are really going to enjoy this product. I say it’s a medium coverage that can be built up. I can’t compare to the regular non- matte Fit Me foundation so I can’t say how both compare to each other, I also didn’t notice much of a scent to the foundation. It slightly smells a bit like alcohol to me, I could be wrong. You won’t have a problem with the scent though. Oh and lastly I feel like I grabbed one shade lighter than my skin tone, but when I applied it to my face, I feel like it adjusted to my skin tone. I have nothing but positive things to say about this product and I truly love it. If you’re looking for a new foundation to try, I’d say you give the Fit Me Matte Poreless foundation a try. It’s not super matte on the face, but it does give you a nice natural looking matte face without it looking dry on your face.

This was so me before I took this picture guys lol but hey nobody’s perfect

pores suck mean girls

Before the foundation (only primer on)

Before the foundation (only primer on) Notice how huge my blackheads/pores look

Notice the difference with the foundation on!!! Holy crap! The foundation minimized the appearance of my blackheads/pores. I did not apply concealer around my nose area at all.

If you’ve tried this product tell me what you think about it? 🙂 Comment below and let me know!

  1. I have this but still haven’t figured out the best way to apply it 😦 My beauty blender sucks it up (and is now stained by it, ugh)…what do you use? Also, I feel like it sets super fast though, like one time I had spots that seemed blended inside, but once I was in my car it looked gross D:

    • I didn’t notice how fast it settled, but It’s happened to me before with Mac fix plus when you get spots :(. I first apply the foundation with a brush and then blend it with the real techniques blender. It also helps if you apply foundation in the natural light (for the foundation spots). I’ve seen people apply it with their fingertips on the face and then they blend it with a brush or a blender. Hope that helps! Please let me know how it works out!-Ami

  2. I’ve tried the true color foundation and that one seems to work well…however I don’t get that pore minimizing coverage. I think I just might give this one a try! 🙂
