If Bates Motel doesn’t ring a bell to you, don’t worry It didn’t ring for me either. I had seen a lot of advertising for the return of Season 2 Bates Motel that I was getting tired of seeing all of the ads. One of the Ads was saying how “Bates Motel was the best TV show you hadn’t seen”. The ad was telling me it was one of the best TV shows and I had to see it to believe it. Yes, I fell for the ad but I am a sucker for a good plot.
Bates Motel is a modern base prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 movie Psycho.
Bates Motel stars now grown up Freddie Highmore who has starred in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, August Rush & The Art of Getting By just to name a few. Freddie Highmore stars as Norman Bates along with Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates and Max Thieriot as Dylan Masset.
Isn’t Freddie Highmore’s re-creation of Norman Bates Psycho 1963 mug shot just as freighting and haunting? Creepy.
This series is a suspense/thriller/drama type of series which I have enjoyed watching. Even though Season 2 of Bates Motel will start on March 3, you can still catch the first season online on AETV.COM
What I loved the most of this series is that even though we know what happens to Norman and Norma due to Psycho, the series let’s you get into Norman’s world, what led him to be what he is. Now I know that the Ad was not lying…it is one of the best new TV shows that you must see! Tune in March 3,2014 for the start of Season 2!
