Fashion Icons On T.V

Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It’s movement, design and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we’d like to be. – Blair Waldorf, Gossip Girl.

Though, Gossip Girl may be over Blair Waldorf’s style is everlasting. Her style is what made her unique, her wardrobe is what every girl wished they had, she has become the one to follow with trends, and the one we imitate when it comes to clothing. Through the seasons, it seems that Blair’s wardrobe has gotten bigger and better, every episode was filled with layers of clothing, eye-popping colors, designer gowns and dresses with heels that captivated attention. Even when the cold sneaked in, Blair managed to look wonderful in colorful coats or beautifully worked patterns into one outfit. Waldorf’s mark of the headband rose to popularity quick, the significant headband completed the outfit, added an accessory that would last favorably. Her character was impressionable and her clothes only made her even more unique; if anyone should ever take fashion inspiration from anyone it should most probably be from Blair Waldorf.

Carrie Bradshaw

“I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.” – Carrie Bradshaw

Carrie from Sex and the City had as you all know outgoing style in the show so to come to have a series of her younger self surely the wardrobe must have been the first topic of choice. It’s the 80’s so layers of bright colors are a must on scene and The Carrie Diaries most certainly did deliver. Now that the second season has hit off Carrie’s fashion style has gotten more colorful and the more better. Somehow all the colors she sports when put together work for her, and her signature Carrie purse always goes great with each outfit she pulls off. Her heels are the appropriate height for her, not too big and not too short, their cute and they work with leggings for which she uses in most of her outfits throughout the series. Their is not one outfit that does not give bright colors, teal, pink, yellow, blue, you name it. Carrie is a rainbow and an adorable one at that.

Aria Montgomery

Aria’s style is a mash of many things but most of her outfits are edgy and the thing that she always brings in are accessories. Accessories do the talking for her when it comes to style, from her edgy necklaces, long earrings, or her mixture of rings that surely make her style do the works. She has a rock and roll vibe to her fashion but she mixes it up when she brings in the cute skirts or dresses. Leather jackets always seem to work well with her outfits and boots to top it off are essential and complimentary to many of her outfits. Lucy Hale’s character is sweet and tough at the same time which makes her fashion sense fit great; she is the one to mix and match and so far it has released great style throughout the show.
